Discontinued Operating Systems

LAST CHANCE TO UPDATE PROGRAMMES

Please be advised that, from the end of February 2007 we will no longer be able to convert data from programmes that were running under DOS or are older than the 2003 versions of EXACT or ALCHEMIST.

THIS IS A FINAL WARNING: UNLESS WE RECEIVE A WRITTEN ORDER FROM YOUR COMPANY INSTRUCTING US TO UPGRADE YOUR SYSTEM BEFORE THE END OF JANUARY 2006 YOUR DATA WILL BECOME REDUNDANT AND, IF YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM OR PROGRAMMES BECAUSE THEY NO LONGER FUNCTION WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONVERT IT.
THIS WILL MEAN THAT YOU MAY HAVE TO START FROM SCRATCH AND RE-CAPTURE ALL OF YOUR DATA, THEREBY LOSING ANY HISTORICAL DATA THAT IS CURRENTLY ON YOUR SYSTEM.

DISCONTINUED OPERATING SYSTEMS

Please note that the 2007 versions of EXACT, ALCHEMIST and associated programmes will not run on MSDOS, Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME or any 16-bit operating systems.

It is estimated that the 2007 versions of our programmes will be available to those with valid licences whose accounts are up to date from the end of February 2007.

The earlier versions of our programmes will be frozen at their current state of development and only serious bugs will be fixed.

THIS MEANS THAT THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE STILL RUNNING WINDOWS 98 OR EARLIER OPERATING SYSTEMS WILL EITHER HAVE TO REPLACE THE OPERATING SYSTEMS ON THOSE COMPUTERS (REPLACE THE COMPUTER WITH A NEW ONE) OR MUST NOT UPDATE TO THE 2007 VERSION OF EXACT.
